Lucille Cordell, age 70. Sunrise January 16, 1946 in Spring Hope, NC and Sunset September 11, 2016 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital Columbus, OH.

Lucille was born in Nash County, North Carolina to the late Johnnie and Evella Pulley Cordell. She served at St. Hope Missionary Baptist Church and was a 1964 graduate of CC Spalding High School in Spring Hope, NC. During high school she was a member of the Chorus, 4-H club and played on the Varsity Basketball Team. After relocating to Mansfield Ohio in 1966 she united with the Mount Hermon Baptist Church where served on the Nurse and Usher Ministries. Lucille was currently serving God at New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church serving with the Nurses Ministry and Red Cross Blood Drive Organizer. Lucille retired from The City of Mansfield working in the Police Payroll and City Income Tax departments. She loved cooking, gardening, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the North Carolina Tar Heels teams. Lucille was family oriented, a loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was serving God and spending time with family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the St. Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 7334 Church Bend Road, Spring Hope, NC.Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00-11:45 am at the Chapel prior to services.
